Front-End Developer / UX Designer

Role Overview:
The Senior UX Developer / Designer will be instrumental in creating intuitive, high-performance web applications for a FinTech, greenfield project. This role combines expertise in front-end development using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, REST APIs and Websockets with strong expertise in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. You will design and deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to craft seamless experiences for end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-End Development

• Build, enhance, and maintain responsive, performant web applications using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, NgRx, TypeScript, REST APIs and Websockets.
• Develop reusable components and scalable front-end architectures aligned with design principles like modularity and maintainability.
• Optimise front-end performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with strong skills in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with front-end performance optimisation techniques and tools.

UX/UI

• Support the Senior Designer with the creation of intuitive, user-centric designs and wireframes using Figma.
• Support the Product Design team with user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and improve user journeys, workflows,
  and interfaces.
• Proven experience in UX/UI design, including user journey mapping, prototyping, and usability testing.
• High proficiency with Figma.
• Experience with responsive design, mobile-first development, and UI optimization.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to
  implement them.

Collaboration

• Work closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless API integrations and
  data flows integrating front-end systems with RESTful APIs.
• Partner with Product and Design teams to translate business requirements into engaging and functional UX/UI solutions.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to the team’s sprint goals and overall success.
• Mentor team members and share expertise in front-end development and
  design principles.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based architectures.
• Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.

Quality Assurance

• Implement rigorous testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end, and accessibility testing) to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Conduct peer reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Drive UI quality testing to ensure consistency, usability, and adherence to design specifications, validating code and design parity to ensure the interface matches approved designs and functionality

Additional Skills

• Experience with FinTech or financial applications is a plus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and PostgreSQL
  is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is an advantage.
